In 2012, Rencons was appointed as the general contractor to construct a significant industrial project in Russia — Tobolsk-Polymer plant. It is one of the biggest polypropylene production complexes in Russia and one of the world’s top three polypropylene plants, with a production of 500,000 tonnes per year. Its commissioning eliminated Russia’s need for imported polypropylene.

The plant is located in an industrial zone in the city of Tobolsk. The project was run by Renaissance Heavy Industries. The project comprised contracts for mechanical works and civil works. The scope of mechanical works included aboveground piping, equipment erection, insulation works, painting works, test, and reinstatement. The scope of civil works covered excavation, sand and gravel backfill, concrete works, underground piping, and manhole installations.
