Renaissance Construction has been utilizing Building Information Modelling (BIM) system since the beginning of the 21st century as part of its strategic plan. Through the incorporation of BIM system to the design and project management, projects are managed in a more timely manner, the quality of process and products are enhanced, time and cost overruns are minimized, quantity take-offs and project costs are more accurately estimated, and project information are more effectively shared among all project participants.

With designing, utilizing and managing project components as in the form of “intelligent objects” incorporating their “information”, Renaissance BIM team has been supporting various project phases and project participants involved in project value chain as well as has more effectively managed design and construction with the 4D and 5D building models having rich and intelligent building data.

Renaissance Construction, has also utilized the BIM system as a lean construction tool. With the use of BIM, projects are managed more effectively in design and construction stages, probable inconsistencies about design documents and drawings are determined in the early stages of projects. Thus, waste is minimized and the implementation of non-value added activities are avoided.

Acting with environmental responsibility and awareness, Renaissance Construction has knew the negative impacts of the structures built on environmental and human health such as excessive consumption of energy, water and materials and emissions of various greenhouse gases. Renaissance Construction, adopting various strategies to avoid possible effects of its projects on the environment and human health, has attached great importance to design, construct and operate its projects in accordance with the “Green Building” principles.

As being a leader in its sectors; Renaissance Construction has also taken pioneering and innovative steps in the regions where it operates with the importance given to sustainability and environmental health through undertaking various projects awarded by LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification; that is one of the most important certifications in the field of environment issued by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

Through designing with sustainable design principles, supplying environmentally friendly and re-cycled materials, utilizing sustainable technologies and constructing with green building principles, some of the projects of Renaissance Construction, which have been awarded by LEED certification by USGBC, are as follows:

Renaissance Pravda Class-A business center in St. Petersburg (Russia), is one of the first projects in Russia where green building design and construction approaches were applied and the first commercial office building in the country awarded with Gold LEED certificate.

In the heavy industry sector, Renaissance has been actively utilizing plant design software (PDS), a comprehensive and intelligent computer-aided system used to support plant design, construction and operation services, in its industrial projects with the aim of delivering plant projects more efficiently with better coordination. PDS has been used by its competent process engineers, plant designers, mechanical and structural engineers of Renaissance from scoping studies to feasibility analysis and front end design to detail engineering in the areas of petrochemicals, refineries, fertilizers, natural gas plants, power plants and process plants.

Renaissance Engineering Teams offers high-quality and reliable process, piping and layout, mechanical and vessel, civil, structural and architectural, electrical, instrumentation and automation engineering, and building electromechanical designs through the integration of PDS to the its engineering solutions. The benefits gained and areas where the PDS has been facilited are given as follows;

Renaissance has also incorporated PDS in its Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects as PDS is helpful to deliver the projects in best design possible, in lowest cost, in highest efficiency and in most effective cooperation. Renaissance has also attached great important to the EPC contracting as it ensures safe delivery of projects due to effec­tive cooperation and joint efforts of project stakeholders. As an EPC contractor, Renaissance has entered into joint venture and consortium agreements with a wide range of technology providers, financial institutions and reputable international EPC contracts such as Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., the Sojitz Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Through its EPC projects, Renaissance has been successfully established solid long-term part­nerships and provided mutual benefit to all project participants.

Extensive international experience

Renaissance won its first residential bid in 2006. Daudel clubhouse in Tyumen (Russia) is the business class real estate including 13 residential blocks, united by a common architectural design and yard area. Construction was completed in 2010. This project has turned out to be both a successful entry to a new construction niche for Renaissance and a breakthrough for city’s urban development, where no such high standard residential complexes have been built before.

Renaissance continues to grow and during several past years it participated in various projects in different countries. Residential complexes Neva Mansions in Ankara and Saifiye in Istanbul; Angondje residential project in Libreville, capital of Gabon, under PPP contract; 21-floor residential tower of modern Park Gulan complex in Erbil, Iraq; these are just a few.

In March 2015 Renaissance Construction was chosen to become a general contractor of residential area of Tushino-2018, a new gigantic multifunctional project in Moscow, Russia. Project’s total area is 715,000 sq.m.

Highest residential skyscraper in Europe

Participating actively in the development of Moscow City, modern international business center, Renaissance Construction is a general contractor of Neva Towers. One of them will accommodate premium class apartments on its 75 floors. The tower is expected to open its doors to the first residents in 2018.

Located nearby and being partly residential Federation Tower indeed opens new horizons to its residents: flats and apartments are located at a height of 180-350 meters. The skyscraper is procured with innovative engineering and latest input-outlet airing system, speed lifts and intellectual property management system.

Quality and security are of paramount importance

Renaissance has been always paying paramount attention to security and rational organization of construction process. In 2014 residential complex of Fili Grad in Moscow was awarded as the best construction site in the Moscow State Construction Supervision Committee competition.

Besides that Fili Grad was announced best construction site between Renaissance Construction sites according to the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) report of 2014 prepared by external audit company.
