The Kaluga plant is the first greenfield cement plant of Lafarge in Russia. The project requires extensive know-how and relevant experience — the qualities Rencons has developed during its twenty years of successful operation and is always ready to provide. Rencons’s expertise with industrial projects, particularly in the cement sector, will secure compliance with Lafarge’s requirements of maximum safety, technical quality and stringent environmental standards. The project occupies a total area of approximately 430,000 m². The plant will have a clinker production of 5,000 tonnes per day, which is equal to two million tonnes of cement per year. Rencons is the general contractor of the project. The scope of the works under the primary contract includes roads, sewerage system, wastewater treatment plant, water treatment unit, underground installations, concrete works, and social buildings.
