The acrylic acid and acrylates complex in the city of Salavat, Russia, was constructed under an EPC contract by the consortium of Rencons, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and the Sojitz Corporation.

The new acrylic acid and acrylates complex, with an annual production of 80,000 tonnes of crude acrylic acid, 80,000 tonnes of butyl acrylate and 35,000 tonnes of icy acrylic acid, is one of the largest and most modern facilities in the world. The complex uses the technology process licensed by the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation.
