The Qalaalti Hotel and Spa Complex is the first project of Rencons in Azerbaijan.

Qalaalti means “below the castle”. The name was inspired by the project location: in the vicinity of an ancient castle, at the top of the mountain, 138 km away from Baku.

The Qalaalti Hotel and Spa Complex is intended to provide medical treatment and serve as a luxury resort as well. The project is situated on an area of 71,054 m². The complex accommodates 192 rooms for 364 guests with views of the Caspian Sea. It comprises a hotel block, an entertainment building, three villas, four tree houses, one staff house, and two service buildings. The outdoor activities take place in an amphitheater, picnic areas, therapeutic gardens, playgrounds, special fitness facilities, artificial water stream, and sports courts. There are two covered parking lots with a total capacity of 146 vehicles.

Rencons was the general contractor of the project. The scope of the works under the primary contract included concrete works, architectural works, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing works. The architectural design was provided by FXFOWLE, a well-known architectural bureau from New York. The rest of the design was provided by Rencons’s in-house design group.
