Renaissance Heavy Industries is taking part in construction of a vacuum gasoil (VGO) deep conversion complex within the framework of modernization of the Volgograd Refinery. Construction is being carried out on the site of the project investor, OOO LUKOIL Volgogradneftepererabotka.
Under the contract signed on 28 July 2013, Renaissance Heavy Industries is to carry out construction and assembly works for a combined sulphur production unit and hydrogen production facilities. The capacity of the hydrocracker unit is 3.5 million tonnes per year. The capacity of the sulphur unit is 44,000 tonnes per year.
Renaissance Heavy Industries is to complete its works within 26 months. The new complex will allow the Volgograd Refinery to increase the output of Euro-5 diesel fuel by 1.8 million tonnes per year.
