Renaissance continues to strengthen its position in the heavy industry sector. The ammonia and urea plant in Mary, Turkmenistan, is a large-scale project launched by Turkmenistan’s state-run chemical holding company Turkmenkhimiya. Renaissance Heavy Industries is the general contractor of the project and is working in close cooperation with such well-known technology companies as Sojitz and Kawasaki Plant Systems.
This greenfield construction project is being implemented in eastern Turkmenistan’s city of Mary. Once completed, the new fertilizer complex comprising of ammonia and urea plants, power generation facilities, as well as water treatment, nitrogen production, off-site and utility facilities, will be the largest in Turkmenistan. The complex will use Turkmenistan’s natural gas as fuel to produce 1,200 tonnes of ammonia and 1,925 tonnes of urea per day.
Renaissance is responsible for non-process related engineering (structural design, electrical and mechanical design, and infrastructure design), international transportation of process equipment, construction works, testing, and commissioning.
